At Commenhers, we believe in collaborating with the community. We work with diverse communities, ranging from elderly individuals, single mothers, marginalised women, to handmake each of our products. Our makers bring rich backgrounds and skills to their craft, creating exceptional goods that support and uplift their communities.
The DFS x Artist Fashion Show at Science Centre Singapore gave our Yuhua SewMates the chance to step out of their comfort zones and explore new possibilities. Guided by Commenhers, they turned materials like curtains and chip bags into beautiful upcycled fashion pieces. This experience helped them learn, grow, and make a meaningful impact by transforming waste into art, while building confidence and stronger connections within the community.
