Our mission, our people, and the impact we're making through upcycling.
At the heart of Commenhers is a belief that waste still has value. Every material we work with carries a story, and we want to give them a second life through thoughtful design and craftsmanship. By transforming discarded textiles into useful products, we help organisations reduce waste, lower their environmental impact, and create visible outcomes from their sustainability efforts.
Beyond environmental impact, Commenhers is also built on community. Our products are made with the support of local makers. Through upcycling, we create opportunities for them to apply their sewing and crafting skills while contributing to a more circular economy.
We stand for sustainability that is practical, inclusive, and people-centred. To us, upcycling is more than turning old materials into new products. It is about rethinking waste, supporting communities, and helping organisations create impact that can be seen, felt, and used.
Co-Founder
Yanee's journey began with a simple belief: waste can still hold value. Yanee and the team started by sewing products themselves, before expanding to work with local makers, including housewives, single mothers, seniors, and other beneficiaries. Through Commenhers, she wanted to make upcycling practical and accessible while creating meaningful income opportunities for the community.
Today, Commenhers continues to carry that same purpose. They still aim to give discarded textiles a second life, help organisations reduce waste, and build a more inclusive circular economy where sustainability supports both people and the planet.
